WAMIS'05 is held in conjunction with AINA 2005
19th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Information
                            Networking and Applications.
                          The recent
advances in Web and mobile technologies have dramatically
changed the way information is accessed and managed
thereby opening new scenarios for the consumption
and exchange of information. These technologies offer
exciting ways of accessing and manipulating distributed
information. Consequently, new challenges and opportunities
have been provided to the research community of the
Web and mobile computing. This workshop aims to bring
researchers from different fields in an effort to
highlight the state-of-the-art and discuss the challenges
and opportunities to explore the advances on recent
development of Web and Mobile Information Systems
(WAMIS). We invite submissions that address both theoretical
                            and practical issues of WAMIS.

Only full papers in English will be accepted. The length of the paper is limited to 6 single-spaced double
column IEEE format pages. Papers may only be submitted electronically through the workshop website. All
papers will be reviewed by independent reviewers.

The WAMIS workshop accepted papers will be published by IEEE CS Press. Authors of high quality papers
presented in the workshop will be invited to submit extended version of their papers for publication in a
special issue of the International Journal of Information and Software Technology (Published by Elsevier) and in a special issue
of the International Journal of Mobile Computing and Commerce (Published by Idea Group Publishing).
